    The regulatory framework

    Which class does your project fall into?

    Every product category has a different regulatory reference. Here's an overview to help you get your bearings, with a link to the full regulatory sheet for each class.

    Class I

    Food supplements

    Dir. 2002/46/EC

    Products intended to supplement the normal diet, a concentrated source of vitamins, minerals or other substances with a nutritional or physiological effect. It's the broadest class: capsules, tablets, powders, syrups.

    E.g. a multivitamin, a fat burner, a joint support.

    Class II

    Food for infants and young children

    Reg. (EU) 609/2013

    Infant and follow-on formulae, cereal-based foods and other foods designed specifically for infants and young children.

    E.g. weaning cereals, follow-on milk.

    Food for special medical purposes

    Reg. (EU) 609/2013

    Foods formulated for the dietary management of patients under medical supervision, including formulations for infants and children with specific clinical needs.

    E.g. clinical meal replacement, medical-use supplement.

    Total diet replacement for weight control

    Reg. (EU) 609/2013

    Total diet replacement products for weight control: meals designed to completely replace a meal of the day.

    E.g. shakes or "meal replacement" bars for a weight-loss programme.

    Food fortified with vitamins and minerals

    "Ordinary" foods enriched with added vitamins and minerals: drinks, baked goods, milk, meals.

    E.g. fortified biscuits or drinks, growing-up milk.

    Italian Ministry of Health guidelines

    There is no longer a dedicated EU regulation: since 2016 these products fall under ordinary food supplements, but remain documented over time with specific guidance and dosage from the Italian Ministry of Health.

    04 · Gluten-free and non-GMO, always It's not an add-on line or a recent trend: we've produced gluten-free and non-GMO since the very beginning of our business, by choice, not by market trend.
    05 · Clean supply chain, zero compromises Raw materials checked against pesticides and residues like glyphosate/AMPA, with traceability guaranteed at every stage, from raw material to finished product.
    06 · Customisable formulas More than 1,200 ready recipes, flexible minimum batches even for small businesses like gyms and hotels, and the option to add superfoods, collagen, or keto and prebiotic fiber-rich formulas to an exclusive recipe for your brand.
    07 · Made in Italy Only certified Italian and European raw materials, no palm oil, added sugar or artificial preservatives. We are an officially authorised organic-certified producer, with entirely organic lines available. Tradition, quality and respect for the environment and animal welfare.
    08 · Halal and Kosher on request We also develop certified Halal and Kosher lines, to open your brand to international markets with specific religious and dietary requirements.
